4 PGA DFS Picks : The PGA Championship
This week is the PGA championship, the seasons final major shifts to St. Louis, MO. We move to Bellerive here this week, it sets up as a LONG par 70, which right off the bat tells me we will need some length off the tee. So, lets get into it!
Leading us off with our core “fore” we have Brooks Koepka at $9600. Brooks is long off the tea and has the notion of showing up in big tourneys. He let some people down by missing two weeks back at the Canadian but bounced back with a t-5. He’s shown up at the majors this year and I expect no different this week. Load up Brooks in all formats.
Next we are going to look to continue the balanced approach with Tony Finau at $8100. Finau is nowhere near as cheap as he was a few weeks back at The Open, but he still provides a solid value. He’s one of the premier guys on the tour that’s still searching for that break through win. He has a win on tour, but it was in a very weak field, and not even in the main rotation. He has finished in the top 10 at every major, with his worst finish being a t-10 at the Masters when he dislocated his ankle. Finau is long off the tee, finishing 3rd in the long drive competition this week. The W is coming soon. As with Brooks, fire up Tony in all formats.
Continuing to build our core we will look to Patrick Cantlay at $8400. His form is very impressive coming in, with a t-15, a t-12, and a t-6 last week. Cantlay may not be as long as the two mentioned before him, but the man can hit it with his irons and wedges. Looking for Cantlay to build off this form and round of a very solid season.
Last in our core is Webb Simpson at $7900. Webb has finished within the top 20 at every major so far. And guess what, he won the unofficial fifth major with The Players. Looking for Webb to strike it close here and build off his impressive putting season.
Best of luck this week! Feel free to find my DM’s at @dfssoxfan and may your screens always be green.
